The madness and chaos of the Welcome franchise have officially leveled up. The makers of the upcoming ensemble comedy ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ have dropped the film’s second track, Ghis Ghis Ghis, and it has sent the internet into a tizzy. The reason? Akshay Kumar’s full-fledged, unabashed transformation into a Bhojpuri “item boy” alongside the queen of Bhojpuri cinema, Akshara Singh .
Not a cameo, but a complete transformation
The two-and-a-half-minute track is a riot of colors, swag, and over-the-top expressions. The song begins with a comical setup where Paresh Rawal is asked to find a hero for a Bhojpuri film. His response sets the tone: “He was a star once. Became a flop hero. Now he has become an item man and is working in the Bhojpuri film industry” .
Akshay enters the frame as a “Bhojpuria star” wearing a sleeveless khadi kurta, a dhoti, and the signature Bihari gamcha (towel) around his waist . With long, straight hair and a rugged beard, he grooves to the upbeat rhythm with Akshara Singh (who looks stunning in a yellow sequined sari), leaving no stone unturned to match the high-energy vibe of a quintessential regional blockbuster .
Fans hail the ‘one man industry’
As expected, the internet erupted the moment the video dropped. While some were shocked, a massive section of fans is celebrating what they call the return of the “Old Akshay.”
One user commented, “Old Akshay is back with old comedy style,” while another wrote, “Akki’s expressions are just ‘Bawal’ [sic]” .
The most viral reaction, however, referenced the actor’s own iconic dialogue from the first Welcome film (2007). A fan wrote, “Akshay aap kis line me chale gye…… bhojpuri cinema me khusi ki lehar,” with others simply quoting, “Bhai shab ye kiss line me aa gaye aap” .

While the internet is busy laughing, Akshara Singh revealed a heartwarming detail about the shoot. In an interview, she disclosed that Akshay shot the high-energy dance number despite suffering from a 103-degree fever.
“It was inspiring. His energy had no dip despite his ill health. There were no tantrums at all,” Akshara told Hindustan Times .
She also recalled how Akshay took a stand for her when the team suggested she wear a traditional ghaghra choli. “I just made a face on that and Akshay sir noticed it from afar. He told the team, ‘Isko chod, isko comfortable rehne de na’ (Leave her, let her be comfortable),” she shared .
